Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) is a U.S.-based humanitarian organization dedicated to poverty alleviation, disaster relief, and community development in over 40 countries. In Pakistan, ZFA supports vulnerable communities through food, health, education, and orphan programs. Following the 2025 monsoon floods in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, many families remain displaced and exposed to harsh winter conditions. Through its Winter Relief Kits, ZFA helps protect children, women, and the elderly by providing warmth, preventing illness, and preserving dignity

The Project

The Winter Packs Distribution Project 2025 aims to improve the quality of life of flood-affected and vulnerable populations during the cold winter season. The project will provide winter packs to 1,500 beneficiary families in flood-affected and cold areas of Pakistan, protecting them from extreme cold and reducing the incidence of winter-related illnesses.

Output 1: Winter packs distributed to 1500 families

• Distribution of winter packages completed to 1,500 families in the proposed districts.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Organization registered with Government of Pakistan as Not for profit and non-Government organization.
• The organization has an active board of directors/governors (in the case of local organizations).
• The organization has a history of activities/projects and community linkages in the district applying for.
• The organization has previous proven experience of implementation of Distribution projects with institutional donors.
• The organization has at least three years of externally audited accounts. 
• Any employee, director or a person having an association with organization or organization itself is not involved in any anti-state activity at any level;
• The organization will acquire NOC for project implementation in the targeted area from concerned government authorities regarding proposed project implementation.

Organizations that cannot apply:

• Individuals/unregistered groups/consultants/vendors.
• Businesses/for-profit organizations. 
• Organizations involved in any anti-state activity. 
• Organizations having a political or religious affiliation. 

Proposal Requirements

Interested organizations are invited to submit a full proposal that includes:

1. Organizational profile and relevant past project experience (if not previously submitted).
2. Technical approach and implementation plan, including proposed districts for intervention.
3. Monitoring and evaluation framework.
4. Budget breakdown and justification.
5. Timeline of key activities.
6. Legal registration documents and organizational policies (e.g., safeguarding, procurement, anti-corruption)
