Job Description:

 

The roles and responsibilities for this position includes but not limited to:

 

  • Prepare and submit quarterly work plans, detailing tasks (including monitoring plans) to be undertaken and indicators of performance and prepare progress reports.
  • Collaborate with Programme Coordinators to ensure all programme design, preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation articulates gender as a principle.
  • To identifying the type of gender data and information needed, and the requirements for collecting, storing, processing and using it.
  • Analyses and evaluates data to ensure achievement of objectives clearly highlights progress in attaining gender equality.
  • To develop and/or introduce new gender approaches, methods and practices in project management and evaluation.
  • Participate and represent Organization on all gender related networks, and clusters at provincial level
  • Assist in development of appropriate communication and information strategy to support and/or advocate gender policy and practice in programme development.
  • Assist Organization partners (government & CSOs) to plan and organize gender training programme.
  • Conduct training needs and objectives for the purpose of gender capacity building, programme sustainability as well.
  • Evaluates project activities, establishing and implementing mechanisms to systematically assess the achievement of results, conducting field visits, participating in review meetings and evaluation missions and preparing regular inputs to status and progress reports. Analyzes basic factors affecting the achievement of results, recommends corrective actions and follows up on recommendations.
  • Contributes to the creation and sharing of knowledge by synthesizing and documenting findings and lessons learned, success stories and best practices, strategies and approaches, in the area of gender and drafting relevant materials for dissemination.
  • Participate and provide input on gender specific activities and interventions into program.
  • Collaborate with Programme Coordinators to ensure effective integration of gender.
  • Prepare Case studies to facilitate internal and external learning on progress to achieve gender equality in programme
  • Contribute information for compiling gender sensitive brochures, leaflets and fliers to inform stakeholders about progress towards gender equality.

Qualification & Experience

 

Master’s Degree in relevant field and 10 Years of relevant field Experience in Social mobilization / inclusion, gender mainstreaming and disability etc.
